The World of Pumpernickel is both whimsical and mysterious. But do not let its charm lure you into thinking that it’s totally harmless. As Pumpernickel, the Nightexplorer, knows all too well. For with so many odd and unusual creatures lurking about, exploration and danger go hand in hand with adventure.
And
adventure is what Pumpernickel does best! It’s his mission as
a Member of The Society of Nightexplorers to document and explore
the strange and unique world around him, so every night is a new adventure!
From Red Herrings to Catfish to traveling Hill Monsters, the world of
Pumpernickel is inhabited by innumerable quirky and strange plants and
beasties alike. So read along and go on an
adventure with Pumpernickel that you’ll never forget!
What’s a Nightexplorer?
Nightexplorers were born to adventure and explore. Their duty is to document and explore the world around them. They can travel alone or with a companion. Of course, they’re never really alone as Nightexplorers have built in sidekicks- their tails! Nightexplorers are not just about exploring though, for they often quest to help others and have a knack for getting anyone or anything, for that matter, out of a jam.
What's The Society of Nightexplorers?
Established many, many moons ago, The Society of Nightexplorers, is a secret organization dedicated to the documentation, exploration and nurturing of the world and its numerously odd inhabitants. The origin of The Society is unknown. What is known is that scattered throughout the land are Nightexplorer Towers which house their massive libraries of priceless documents, samples, and secrets. What is also known is that The Society is divided into four clans: Ember (Fire), Mist (Sky), Wave (Water), and Stone (Land). Each clan is then further divided into ranks ranging from 1- 14. What the rank and clans mean is currently unknown at this time.
